The past couple of years have been difficult for many of us and have changed how we do some of the normal things in life.  That has also been true for those involved in missions around the world.  Many countries have not been open to international travelers at times, many people have gotten sick and normal ministry has not been able to happen.

BUT….. Guatemala has just been able to have a couple of youth camps and it was great!  Even though Word of Life was limited in the number of campers (just 100 campers) they were able to have the whole experience of camp including crazy games, lots of sports, dining together and then me together in the auditorium with skits, music, worship and preaching.  Pastor Jim was able to join them for the second week of camp and was able to give the morning devotions for the staff and preach each morning to the entire camp focusing on making Godly choices as we let Him transform our minds.  He also spoke at the campfire on Wednesday night and many campers made decisions to totally give their life to the Lord.  By the end of the week there were 25 campers who accepted Christ as their Savior and Lord.

Jim also was able to spend some significant time in talking with the various missionaries and listening to them as they talked about the past couple of years.  They shared their struggles and joys.  They shared many prayer requests.  They shared their excitement at being able to have camp again.
We are so thankful that the camp was able to happen and we can once again help our friends in Guatemala as they share the message of the love of Jesus, even when many churches are still closed and there are strict protocols regarding Covid.
The weather was hot, the games were fun and exciting, the pool was great, the fellowship was sweet, the Spirit of God used His Word and lives were changed?  It was a great week.
