A Short History:
Fellowship Community Church began with Mark and Marian Willey’s desire to see people come to know, love, serve, and enjoy Jesus Christ. As church planters with ABWE, Mark and Marian initially wanted to carry out this vision in Romania or South Africa, but in His wisdom, God put South Jersey on their hearts and led them to start a church in this region. With this new goal, the couple resigned from the mission program, Mark became Pastor Mark, and their home church, Shawnee Baptist Church, graciously supported their efforts to start a church in Mount Laurel.
After many hours of ministry groundwork and local outreaches, they held their first service on Easter Sunday in 1981 at Lenape High School. The church body continued to meet at Lenape for four and a half years until they were able to purchase land and build the multi-purpose facility now used as the church gymnasium. This building held services, youth activities, and various outreaches for years until the current worship center was added in 2000.

Since its inception, the church has had varying periods of fruitfulness but has grown tremendously in recent years by the power of God. In four years alone, the congregation grew from 800 to 1300 members regularly attending every Sunday. Steady growth and the Lord’s prompting led church leaders to expand the reach of Fellowship by adding an additional satellite campus in Haddonfield during the fall of 2009 which has since moved to Collingswood. It is Fellowship’s desire to extend its reach not by becoming a larger building that more people travel to from more miles away once a week, but by becoming a multi-site congregation so that more people can worship within their community and connect with smaller, local groups throughout the week.

Our Mission
Belong
Everyone needs community. The church is to be family, filled with sons and daughters of the Great Father, serving and loving others. Rom. 12:5 |
Believe
It is not a religion of “DO”. It is a relationship of “DONE”. Jesus has paid the price for our sins, and now forgiveness and a living relationship with God can be ours. Believing/putting our trust in Jesus is the foundation and building block of this new life. John 1:12 |
Become
Being changed by the power of Jesus, and then living out that change in our culture and community is our mission. Eph. 4:13 |
Multiply
Living out the mission of Jesus is a matter of life-on-life discipleship. We are called to be disciples of Jesus ... who make disciples of Jesus. Mark 4:8 |
