Thank you so much for praying along with us during our summer Bible club.
At our friends' dairy farm, the final Bible club event unfolded with more than 70 people scattered all over their backyard, chatting, playing silly games with Ben, de-boning the pig carcass, and face-painting. I got to sit down and listen to many children's four-week's worth of Bible verses, some whizzing through mechanically, others thoughtfully pulling each word from their memory. Earlier that day, I had suddenly realized that I would need to say something to make the skits and verses and songs more connected and understandable for anyone listening for the first time. Remember, that I hadn't done any Bible teaching at club this year, so I wasn't in teaching mode! Thankfully, the Lord gave me ideas and the listeners of all ages were attentive and interested! I ended with the question: Which soil is your heart most like (from the Parable of the Sower)? Pray that God would provoke a yearning for good heart-soil in these individuals. At the campfire later that evening, my friend who is facing the likelihood of her husband leaving, told me that because of being a part of Bible club and the conversations that have happened as a result, she senses a shift in her understanding of God. She says that before she knew there was a God and believed in her head some things about Him, but now it's different - that belief is inside her and making a difference in her life!! Please pray for a continued miracle to happen in the opening of her life to the God-Who-Sees and that that same miracle will come to her husband and her son. Thank you for partnering with us in Quebec, sowing the Word! Carrie Karleen Comments are closed.
