David Faith

Community Groups Coordinator

My family started attending FCC in Collingswood in January 2016, after moving to NJ from PA in November 2015. I joined FCC staff in December 2016. I have served in a variety of ministries at FCC, including youth group, music, the welcome team, community group administration, teaching seminars and classes, and preaching. Currently, I help connect people with open Neighborhood Community Groups, lead a group, play on the worship team, and teach a class. My passion is communicating God’s truth clearly—whether through preaching, teaching, or music—so that others can know and trust him more.

My calling to ministry emerged from a season of personal failure and deep doubts about life’s foundational questions. Though I grew up in church, as I stepped into adulthood, I wrestled with whether my faith was truly mine—or even real. In that season of doubt, I asked God to prove Himself to me if He was real, and He did in ways that continue to shape my calling and identity today. I know it was His hand that brought me through that darkness and ultimately led me to seminary and ministry. Psalm 31:3-5 has become especially meaningful to me: “For you are my rock and my fortress; and for your name’s sake you lead me and guide me… Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.”

My wife Jamie and I were married in 2005. We have 3 kids between the ages of 12 and 17 as of 2025. My family loves spending time outdoors, whether hiking a trail or relaxing by the ocean. Personally, I share that love for nature, but I’m also a bit on the nerdy side—I enjoy reading theology and philosophy, savoring a good cup of coffee, and playing chess (especially speed chess—bullet speed, to be precise). I’ve recently started writing, focusing on puzzling or seemingly contradictory statements in Scripture. If you’d like to check out my work, here’s my Amazon author page!
