I don’t really remember a time where I didn’t attend Fellowship. My family and I started going to this church when I was about 5 years old and we got plugged in by serving in The Living Nativity. I had the great privilege of growing up in this church. I was deeply bought in to Youth Group as a young kid. It became my safe place, surrounded by leaders who knew me flaws and all and still loved me. I started interning at Church the summer after my senior year of high school and haven’t looked back since. I had one summer off where I got to serve with Son Servants which formed a connection that the youth are still benefitting from now because we take our students on Son Servants trips in the summer. I graduated in December 2020 from Cairn University with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry and was called as a pastor here at FCC one month later. So I have been on part time staff since 2016 but full time as a pastor since January 2021.
I am the Youth Pastor at Fellowship overseeing both high school and middle school ministries. I can honestly say I am working my dream job. I love working with youth and seeing them realize who they are in Christ and what He is calling them to be. Youth ministry allows you to see so much fruit that God produces in such formative years. I am passionate about building relationships with people and helping them in their time of need. I LOVE preaching God’s word both on Friday Nights at Youth Group and when they let me on Sunday mornings!
When I was 14 years old My life was flipped upside down. My dad and brother were in a very serious car accident which effected the whole family. I was a 14 year old kid trying to figure out who he was and what life was all about and this shook the foundation of everything I believed in. Two of my Youth pastors at the time, Pastor Mike and Pastor Tim, came into my life when I needed someone the most. They loved me, discipled me, and prayed with me. I remember that it was that exact same year I felt the call of God to be a pastor. I never knew what I wanted to do before that but I remember wanting to leave an impact on people like they left an impact on me. It was decided then and there that I would follow God’s call and be a pastor. I wish I could tell you that the road to that call was easy and straightforward but it was everything but. The next 8 years were filled with doubts, family struggles, and personal failures. I lost sight of what God was calling me to do. God intervened in a big way allowing me to fall on my face and receive His love and grace anew.
I got married to my wife Jaycie in January 2021. We met in Chattanooga TN, and fell in love on a Son Servants mission trip to Panther West Virginia. Somehow some way I convinced my wife to move to the northeast after being born and raised in sunny southwest Florida.
We have one son Rory, who was Born August 2024. In our free time we love eating, caring for our son, traveling, serving together, and being outside! Jaycie shares my passion for ministry and helps out as a Youth leader on Friday nights. On a normal day off you could find us hanging in our sun room, walking around the neighborhood, and eating at local food spots.
