Joanna Candy

Care Director

Fellowship has been a part of my story for my entire life. My dad was a pastor at FCC and my childhood has so many core memories here. I joined the staff in 2006 soon after graduating from college. Although I spent many years in youth and young adult ministry, I now spend most of my time in Care Ministry. I deeply love being a part of the care team and am so grateful to be entrusted to walk alongside others as they navigate the difficult spaces of life. Currently my job consists of running Stephen Ministry, counseling, community need response and grief care.

Much of my young life was consumed with fear of man. What people thought of me and the need for them to like me was a crippling and all consuming fear that worked its way into most of my relationships. In 2006, my eyes were opened anew to the deep and life-changing truth that I was accepted, rescued, forgiven, and seen as new in the eyes of Jesus. My life was hid with Him. That reality took all the pressure off and instead replaced it with abundant joy. He has redeemed me and sustained me. All to Him I owe.

Mike and I were married in 2009 and we have two kids - Olivia and Paxton. Much of the time, we can be found on a soccer field. We love being together and free time is often filled with eating good food, finding great hiking spots and playing games.
