Joanne Sharp

Women's Ministry Director

I began at Fellowship in 2004, led MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) from 2012-2017 and came on staff in 2017 as the Women's ministry director. I oversee communication for and help support women's ministry leaders. I love coordinating large group events and leading prayer walks and wellness studies in the hope that women come to know, and love Jesus.

I first walked into the doors of FCC in 2003 to attend a grief share group after suddenly losing my mom. The very first night there, I saw hope in the darkness of others' lives despite grief. I wanted it. I gave my life to Jesus that first night. Ministry was never in my life plan. I was an elementary school teacher and a stay-at-home mom. The Lord had other plans for my life, and I couldn't be more grateful. I love serving and encouraging women. A beautiful full-circle moment in my life and ministry was when Pastor Mark, our founding pastor, showed me the office I would serve in when he was explaining the director role he was creating. It was the very office where I first met Jesus.

Jon and I have been married since 2006. We met in college at Towson University and We have four children. Jake, Will, Kevin , and Jordyn. I am currently in seminary, attaining my master's in biblical studies and theology. When I am not reading or studying, I love being active outdoors and, when possible, at the beach. Our family loves traveling, playing cards, and water sports, especially in the town of Brigantine, NJ, where we try to spend time in the summer.
