The Gospel

Pastor Tim preaches on the Gospel, starting with how Christians can be drawn into “counterfeit gospels.” Using Galatians 1:6–10, he warns against turning from Christ to a different gospel. He lists modern distortions: prosperity “name it and claim it,” works-based salvation, me-centered therapeutic Christianity, pleasure-focused living, liberal/universalist reinterpretations that deny core doctrines, and political/cultural gospels that merge ideology with faith. Citing 2 Timothy 3:1–5 and 2 Corinthians 11, he says deception can look righteous. He defines the true gospel from 1 Corinthians 15: Christ died for sins, was buried, rose, and appeared to witnesses, and urges studying the real gospel to discern fakes.
