Uzziah: God on the Shelf

Pastor Mike continues a “Kings” series by teaching 2 Chronicles 26 about King Uzziah of Judah. After brief context on the divided kingdom and Uzziah’s lineage, the message traces Uzziah’s early years seeking God under Zechariah and experiencing God-given prosperity; his midlife military, civic, and agricultural achievements and growing fame; and his later pride that led him to unlawfully burn incense in the temple. Confronted by Azariah and priests, Uzziah became angry, was struck with leprosy, lived isolated, and died as Jotham ruled.
