Marriage Application & Policy

Marriage is an institution created by God for a man and a woman to become husband and wife for as long as they both shall live. At FCC we want to ensure that any couple we marry is set up for a successful and lasting marriage. Ultimately, that is dependent upon those making the vows, but we approach our role with a profound sense of responsibility.

Marriage Application

The couple must complete FCC’s wedding application below.

Pre-marriage assessment

The couple must complete any pre-marriage assessment used by the pastor facilitating pre-marital counseling.

Pre-marriage counseling

The couple must complete 5 sessions of pre-marriage counseling done by an FCC Pastor or an FCC approved pre-marital counselor.

Recommended reading

The FCC pastor officiating the wedding may require you to read a book to compliment the pre-marriage counseling.

Payment

There is a fee of $300 that covers all pre-marital counseling sessions, material used for our sessions, planning of the ceremony, attendance at the rehearsal, and officiating the ceremony. In addition, all travel and lodging expenses for the pastor must be covered for weddings requiring overnight stay or outside of NJ.  In the event of financial hardship, please make arrangements with the church administrator.
