Our UN International Prayer Breakfast was held virtually this year because the UN is still working remotely. Therefore diplomats who had returned to their countries still” attended” the breakfast. With travel restrictions, I am teaching online the Epistle to the Hebrews Asia Biblical Theological Seminary with a melting pot of students! I’m also helping with relief efforts in India related to Covid 19, and preparing coaching videos for our partners to help them teach our courses. My knee replacement surgery is on 13 October.

MCQUADE, AUBREY – TEACH BEYOND – Greece
I returned to Lesvos in August. Since then, Moria refugee camp in Greece burned to the ground leaving over 12,000 people once again displaced with over 200 positive covid cases. I have been serving with a Christian group who responded by providing laundry and shower services for the families camping on the roadsides. Please pray for the local government and EU to have wisdom in handling this crisis and pray for our team to continue to show the love of Christ as we serve each day.
MERKH, DAVE AND CAROL SUE WOL – Brazil
Though most of our ministry agenda was cancelled, we have continued with online conferences almost every weekend as well as developed multiple other online ministries. Praise! In-person classes resumed at Word of Life Seminary, Brazil, in September, albeit with numerous protocols. Our home assignment plans have been transferred to 2021. Grateful for your prayers.
I thank the Lord for the opportunity He has given me to continue to serve in the ministry, even when I am not physically present. God continues to work, and we continue to say, “The Gospel is not in quarantine.” Please continue to pray for me and that God would use me for His glory during this time. Word of Life in Brazil and the gospel continues to flourish using Zoom. I continue recording the courses I teach and interacting with the students and mentoring the Master´s students who are writing their dissertations to graduate in December. We praise God that in a staff of 150 Word of Life missionaries in Brazil, no one has been infected by the virus. Please pray that we continue to be faithful to the Word of God as we train pastors, missionaries and church leaders.

With the virus canceling church meetings and especially some of our largest evangelistic
activities, we are using social media to reach the youth with the gospel. Pray for Challenge 501 where each missionary works with a small group of 5 persons each week teaching them how to evangelize and pray for an unsaved friend. Pray for my marriage to Marta on November 28, 2020. With all the borders closed, Marta’s parents will not be able to come to Belize for the wedding. Pray for both of us that we can continue being grateful no matter the situation we might face.
