*Please note, when new information about how you can help becomes available, we will make updates to this page*

The Need:

Our military is providing emergency solace for over 2,000 people with more refugees coming daily. They have come to the US only with what they could carry. The Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst will host up to 9500 in the upcoming days. We can help meet the practical needs the people have through our donations.

How You Can Help:

As of September 8th we are no longer accepting donations of items. The Joint Base has changed their request from donating items to donating money so they can more efficiently meet needs. Everything that was already given is being delivered to the refugees in need.

If you’d still like to help, you can still give us cash that we will then give to the base to directly meet the needs of the Afghan people. (please note, this is cash only, no checks)

Helping these people is a need that we expect to last many months and it is likely that what is being requested will change. We’ll do our best to keep you informed of any changes or new needs that arise over time. Of course, there is always a need of prayer both for the refugee families and for all the care givers involved.

Thank you for considering this need as we continually seek to reflect the heart of Jesus who says,

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in … whatever you did to the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:35,40).
